Robert Smith
Bob Smith is a life-long resident of New Jersey and grew up fishing the mid-shore lumps and Northeast Canyons for Bluefin, Yellowfin, and Big Eye tunas.
Smith’s professional background is law, politics, and government. He has been a New Jersey licensed attorney since 1994 and holds the title and certification of Diplomate, New Jersey Local Government Law. Bob also served as a Mayor, County Commissioner, and New Jersey Assemblyman, where he chaired the Natural Resources Committee.
Through his work in the New Jersey General Assembly with fisheries management and recreational anglers, Bob was honored as “Man of the Year” by the Recreational Fishing Alliance, New Jersey Chapter.
Today, Smith continues to practice land use and environmental law, develops land, and builds a few “spec” homes a year.
Bob looks forward to advancing the mission of the IGFTO, the international leader in billfish and gamefish, by working with the Board of Directors
